About the hotel

The County Hotel on Llandudno’s promenade offers superb views over the Great and Little Ormes. This lovely Victorian hotel which retains many of its original features, has 100 bedrooms, is close to the beach and pier and has easy access to the natural beauty spots of North Wales. The travel writer Bill Bryson described Llandudno as his ‘favourite seaside resort’, and many other people feel similar affection. A stay at the County Hotel places you right at the centre of this famous beach resort. There is a full programme of entertainment in the hotel’s ballroom during the holiday season, with live music, quizzes, games and comedy. You will also need to allow plenty of time to explore and enjoy the many attractions nearby. For the active and adventurous, there is trail-riding, white-water rafting and zip-wires. If you prefer your outdoors a little more relaxed, North Wales also has wonderful villages, tea-rooms, castles and nostalgia at the Great Little Trains of Wales. The views alone – of Snowdonia, Anglesey and the ocean – always make a visit to Llandudno worthwhile.
